Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am looking for a site that reviews picture and chapter books similar to the sites that review movies.

Sometimes it is difficult to judge the appropriateness of a book for a certain age and it would be so helpful to search a trusted site for an overview of potential issues.

Hi Nicole,
I asked this same question here awhile back and didn't have much luck. I love being able to turn to the internet for detailed reviews of movies, including possible moral problems. I really wish something like that existed for books. The only site I found that fits the bill hasn't been updated for the past year and a half. I would love to see something like this with lots of reviews.

I also go to Amazon.com and look at the reviews, if I have time. There you can get nuggets of info about the books to sometimes be able to judge if it will be a good fit for your family.

Oh, and of course, there's the Love2Learn Blog! And then there's the original Love2Learn site and their history site -- they don't have a review of everything, but what's there has been very useful to us!

Thanks! I'm always looking for shortcuts.
