Anyone read The Sally Series? MODG recommends them as supplemental books for 5th grade. I'm looking at MODG...again...and trying to tweak it for dd.

We read these as read-alouds. Our 12yog 11yog and 7yob enjoyed them very much. It would be good for fifth grade supplimental reader.

I just ordered the first three from the Bethlehem Books sale that Mary mentioned. The first one was recommended to me, but I wasn't sure if the later books were as good as the earlier ones. Anyone want to comment on whether it's worth it to own all 5 of them?

They are great! We own all of them, we even bought out of print copies bc we cdn't wait for Ignatius to bring them all out! If you have more than 1 child, they are worth owning--they'll get read multiple times by all.

My boy (7) loved them, he was so sad when it ended. He even said he wished there was a real Sally. I just visited a friend with a 10 year old boy, and he loved them too.
