One of our February traditions has always been to watch "The Shoes of the Fisherman", in honor of the Feast of The Chair of St. Peter. I first saw this movie in 3rd or 4th grade. Sr. Adelaide *made* us watch it for religion class that week. I did not appreciate it then, but I love it now.

If you are in need of an idea to help celebrate the day, watching this movie can be fun and educational.

Keep in mind two things: First, the movie is almost three (3) hours long; and second, part of the plot involves an affair the married TV reporter is ending.

Thanks for mentioning this film. DH and I are just about to look over the NetFlix list of movies, and this is one we will add to our choices.
