DD is in 10th and it is confirmation year. What do you do special through out the year with your confirmation kids. I don't mean what the parish requirements are. BUt what do you with your kids do (in other words - I think our parish stuff in lame - but we will of course do them - and I want to make this year meaningful)

Reading the Immitation of Christ. Really getting to know the saint that they will choose. Our son studied 1st and 2nd Kings and Proverbs. And of course...a true understanding of the sacrament so that when the day of Confirmation comes they feel that they have really prepared and feel a true connection to the receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

We always give a special gift for 1st Communion and Confirmation. Our three boys have 2 medals each that they never take off. 1st Holy Communion medal is a four-way cross for all of our children, and the Confirmation medal is their saint that they chose.
Praying for your daughter and her reception of the sacrament!
