I have been asked to bring some ideas to a meeting this Thursday, as a new member of the adult faith formation committee. We are now 4 combined parishes (in one county) sharing a new priest. Lots of changes.

Anyway, they are looking for ideas. We had Theology on tap a few years ago, but they felt like that wasn't reaching enough members. They really want ideas on how to reach out to younger couples/families with children.

What kinds of things do your parishes do?

We don't have a lot going on at our parish but I wanted to give you this book suggestion. It's written to younger adults.. I got it to maybe use with my older teens.. it's intense.. I haven't read the whole thing but it grabs you like a lot of others books on the faith do not.. even the good ones.

My suggestion below is not really "adult faith formation," but more "marriage enrichment." However, this is a new program in our parish which is very solid and has been very well-received. Married couples of all ages have been attending.
