Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi all,
I am looking for some ideas on teaching the virtue of justice to our Little Flowers group, especially any book suggestions you may have. Thanks, Cathy

I've enjoyed looking over this program put together by the Nashville Dominicans for their schools. So far, they have not made it available in full for use outside their schools, but the parents guide I linked is a neat reference.

They have Justice as the virtue for April. You can reference their chart on the second page to see how they define it and what saints they use to study it at the different grade levels.

They list St. Katherine Drexel as the saint for 3-5th graders, and just yesterday when I was browsing saint books for Easter baskets, I saw The People's Princess: A Story of Saint Katherine Drexel, which looks like it might be ideal for a Little Flowers group. I looked at it since we are near Philadelphia, and so she is local to us, but I'm not sure the "Princesses You Can Believe In" series would grab my 4 boys the same way it would your audience

Further down in the program I linked, it offers ideas for parents to incorporate the particular virtues in their home. The ideas might give you a starting place for your own brainstorming.

Jessica at Shower of Roses blog has creative and very detailed accounts of the Little Flowers virtues activities they do.
