Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please! Like I need this confusion...

I have one book that says today, Dec. 26, and one says it was yesterday, Christmas Day. And one book that is very vague and offers no exact dates.

In the scope of all things it probably does not matter, but it is bugging me.
Which verse of the song do we sing today??

Yesterday - Christmas Day. 12 days end on the 5th as Jan. 6 is Epiphany, not in the Christmas Season.

I'm not sure how Christmas Day wouldn't be counted in the season of Christmas.. that would be weird.

I have the book "Before and After Christmas", which has today as the first day. Then I have the "Continual Feast" cookbook, which counts Christmas as the first day.   Or maybe it's vice versa.

But it does make sense that it would be twelve days, then Epiphany, which marks the end of the Christmas season.

Anyway.... thanks for your help!
