Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Family Formation Program

I am curious to know if any families out there are using this program from the Church of St. Paul in MN. (They also put out the Little Lambs program).

In addition to following the liturgical year with many living books and read alouds, I had been using Faith and Life with my dc. But this year I think we all hit a wall with the repetitive topics in F&L and needed something different.

I hesitated to sign up because of the price, but I finally did in October, and we have been enjoying this change of pace.

Each month comes with three weekly lessons that are based around the readings for the weeks. Some lessons come with games, others with cds that have saints stories. I think they all have a craft of some type. During Advent there was a packet of different activities, including the O Antiphons all neatly printed out with the dates. Very nice.

I really like the large calendar of the Liturgical Year that comes with the program. We have it hanging in our school room and color in each Sunday and feast day along the pathway. My dc especially liked the Working for Mercy game and the story of Sir Victor the Braveheart.

Anyway- it's a nice resource, aimed at grades k-6.

We used this also. I can't say enough good things about it. It can be pricey, but they do offer free scholarships, all you have to do is ask. Truly a wonderful program.

This looks great! A very nice change from Faith and Life, which, I agree, does get dry after 4-5 years!
