I just posted about some saint/blessed games that I have used in the homeschool boys' club that I run for our parish homeschool group. Here is the link games post.
I love Lacey's party food post.
Anyone else have plans to share for All Saints this year?!

Kacky - great party game ideas. Lots of new ones which is nice as the lists of ideas that have been around for awhile have been used a lot. It's nice to shake it up with something new. And those party food ideas are lots of fun. Hadn't seen that Catholic Icing post yet. Don't have any fresh ideas to share this year.
Feeling a little dry in the All Saints party ideas - I used up all my ideas earlier on activity days earlier in the year. Oh, hey, guess several of the games would work since it was an Archangels Feast Day Party. Some were ones I'd seen before - like St. Raphael's Fish Pond and Pin the Sword on St. Michael, but I did think of a few of my own:
St. Michael Freeze Tag - the "it" person had a foam sword they used to "freeze" the other players
St. Raphael Blind Man Bluff - just like the regular game
St. Gabriel Drop the Lily - like Drop the Hankie (except using a silk lily)
St. Gabriel Messenger Game - like the game telephone (or gossip), where you sit in a circle and one person whispers a phrase to another and it gets passed along the circle to see how it changes by the end
St. Raphael Goldfish Guess - had a jar filled with goldfish and everyone had to guess the amount - closest guess won the jar
Hey, just thought of the old carnival game - Gold Fish Toss. That would be another good one could have the "St. Raphael" name tagged to it. And well of course that could be substituted for any apostle "fishers of men" instead of St. Raphael.

We are having children make sacraments on the Sunday before All Saints, so we don't have a big party planned this year, we have a Catholic latin class to attend with other families on the Tuesday, so I'll have to see if we can incorporate a simple game, dress up (turn up and learn your latin as a saint, that would be fun!) and maybe a plate of food that symbolic for a particular saint..simple but fun.
I have had some big parties in the past and enjoyed designing games for them, which have show in great depth on my blog.
Our All Saints Party decorations ~ some great way for the children to really be a part of that.
St George and the Dragon Pinata I bought the dragon, but this could also be a really great craft activity for children...you could be very creative with paper mache and paint and desig a pinata based on a saints symbol...I'll get back if I can put my thinking cap on and come up with some ideas.
Pin the ...on the Saint Game...I'm going to say it again..this could be a great craft activity for the kids, they can draw and colour on a big sheet of cardboard and make up the saint in his or her outfit for the pinning. Since then I've made one for Pope John Paul II..with saints, the sky's the limit, as they say, you can do a new one each year.
Early Christian Martrys Musical Chairs..we've had SO much fun with this one. My cards look detailed, but the first year I ever did it, I just got blank sheets of paper and drew the symbols of each saint on each sheet and just stuck them to the ground, it worked perfectly. I think it is important to remember, things can be simplified and still work as good, some years you can go all out, other years you have to keep things simple, I just go with the flow. For anyone thinking of playing this game, my little saint write-ups might be helpful to cut and paste, saves trying to condense a story for each saint.
Saints and Symbol Relay...Ok, so this one is a bit more complicated and it got a bit messy on the day, the reason is, I assumed that children had more saints knowledge than they did..if I re-did this in the future, I'd make the answers very, VERY overt!
Patron Saint Match Relay The children have to have some good sound knowledge on saints and their main patronages. We still were able to work this with little and big kids ~ I'd team a little one with a big one, or a knowledgable child with one who didn't know much. Only a few weeks ago I had a friend thinking back on one year's party and she said just how well that worked, pairing in this way.
I'll tell you what I saw somewhere recently that captured my eye, it was a game..I followed the link from Lacy's blog, of a Catholic mum who had taken a popular, well know game, where you have all these faces on both sides and you have to guess which head is yours, you eliminate as you say, "is it a man" and they say 'yes" , "does he have blue eyes?" "No" until you are left with the one that is right...I'm sure someone will know what game I'm talking about! Anyway, this mother had changed the images for saints images...it was simply fantastic!!! It would be a great game for a day like that.
Great to see the incorporation of newer saints and holy people into your games Kacky, I hope you all enjoy the day!

The board game you are talking about is Guess Who? We love that game here. We have the pet version too well maybe Lacey will see this thread and post that link. That would be great, especially if someone already has the template for all of the heads to share!

Yes, of course I was going to see this thread!
Ok, I am SO in love with the Saint Guess Who thing! I have found 3 people that have created printable templates. One is for the newer version of the game and the other 2 fit the older games. I linked to all of them in this post along with printable saint bingo which also looks really cute.

We have a wonderful mom in our homeschool group that hosts the All Saints party every year, so really all I have to do is find some costumes, volunteer to sing the Litany of the Saints, and help clean up.
But I love all these ideas. We've come a long way from my mother trying these parties ideas were here. We were quite lonely! Now there was an OSV article (she got my name wrong and took a few liberties on quotes) that I was interviewed...it is becoming more accepted.
A few more links for All Saints ideas:

I had saved some other links, but most of them are from Lacy.
