Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Each year I ask (beg ) our parish to have an All Saint party, but it just doesn't happen for one reason or another.

This year, the DRE responded to my email by letting me know the teen group will come together to carve pumpkins and he'd like to sit down with me to see what I have in mind.

Well, to be honest, my vision was the teens would run the booths for the younger kids. That's what they did when we had Christmas parties. That way teens would see Halloween can be fun and not all about scary. They'd enjoy the time watching the younger set.

So, even though I have dozens of games written down, I'm unsure about them. With 2 weeks to go....I don't know if it can be pulled off without the teens.

This website alone lists so many great ideas: All Saint's party ideas

What do you all do for older kids/teens?

So, you are saying now there's no party for the little ones, just the teens, or now the party is to be catered to both littles and teens?

In my excitement I read his email incorrectly.

Our parish will have a pumpkin carving activity. It's too late to organize anything else, but he will sit down with me to talk over my ideas.

I'm going to look at his response as a good thing...because it really is.
Progress is a blessing.

Sorry to bug you all.
