Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our dd7 is making her First Confession this Friday

She is having trouble remembering parts though so I thought to make up a little booklet, I remember having one of these for my own First Confession.

It will include an outline of what to do, room for her to draw pics of her sins, Act of Contrition (although she can remember that ). I was about to cut and paste from googling but I wondered if anyone knows of anything already created?

I'm very excited I just finished making one myself, sharing with you. You need to adjust into booklet size before printing.

I have just updated as dh helped me edit it more easily into a booklet, that is why the pages look out of order. You may still have to do a tiny bit of editing to get it to 'sit' correctly.

Remember when the booklet is formatted pages 2 and 3 are blank because your child is to draw their sins into there. No peeking mum & sibs We've been examining consciences here and sibs are quick to remind of transgressions.

Pleased it is helpful Dd made her First Confession last Sunday and the book helped her remember. I even got a lovely complement from the priest, that she was well prepared truthfully I think the booklet really helped there. Often dc know but then forget at the time, kwim?

Thanks Erin! I just printed this for my 7yo who will be making his First Confession in the next month. He doesn't read well yet, but I'm hoping if we go over it a few times the pictures will help him remember.

Becky

Genevieve can barely read at all, so it was drill and memory prompts.

So glad I shared my upload link here 'cause I couldn't remember where I uploaded it.

Two years later and I'm looking forward to using this with our son soon Preparing children for their first Reconciliation is such a privilege, gorgeous souls.
