Is there an online source where I can familiarize myself with the songs and prayers of the Traditional Latin Mass?

There is this site A Midi collection of traditional Catholic hymns There was another site like this but I can't find it, maybe it's gone, if I can find it later I will give you the link.
Youtube can be another good place. Key in what you are looking for and find one you think you can follow. With some it can be hard to hear exactly what they are singing and therefore hard to follow. These ladies singing Attende Domineare easy to sing along with.
As for the Mass there is this site Sancta Missa - Tutorial for Sacred Music

I just realised that they don't have all the hymns they used to, they used to have much more, I wonder why they don't now. I hope I can find the other site, it had lots of hymns.

This looks really interesting Missa in Cantu & Missa Lecta Audio cd's & workbook set I think I will have to get it myself  I have something similar but not nearly as comprehensive and I have found it really helpful. I'm actually brave enough now to sing audibly when they sing in Gregorian chant

The Sancta Missa are the priests from our church, St. John Cantius in Chicago, I think you can buy their cd's...I'd be more than happy to ask for more resources after mass tomorrow

I just want to break down what it is to have "music" for the Mass. This applies to both Ordinary and Extraordinary, English and Latin.
In most places when we think of music at Mass we first think of hymns, but really hymns are not an integral part of the Mass.
There are two categories of the music of the Mass:
The Propers (these parts change for each Mass depending on Feast and season)
Introit (Entrance Antiphon), Gradual (Responsorial Psalm), Tract (Alleluia verse), Communion Verse
The Ordinary (or Mass parts. The text doesn't change, but the musical settings can change)
Gloria, Credo (Creed), Sanctus (Holy, Holy), and Agnus Dei (Lamb of God).
Hymns aren't really a required part of the Mass. They can be added at Communion time, or before and after the Mass (Processional and Recessional). But the idea of a "Hymn Sandwich" is not what was intended.
IF you are having any music at Mass, the parts or Ordinary of the Mass are the first requirement to sing at Mass. High Mass would include Ordinary and the Propers.

Thanks for being so clear, Jenn. Yes, I'm looking for some CDs that help us learn the prayers of the Ordinary of the Mass, chanted in Latin specifically.
I've found a set of CD's which seem lovely - some contain the Propers of the Mass, and they each offer chant for the different liturgical seasons of the year, but it's super expensive. Definitely something for me to consider though. Any opinions on them? Ever heard of them?
I have a number of links bookmarked from Musica Sacra already, and I have Minimum Repertoire of Plain Chant and Latin Prayers of the Mass and Rosary, both from Our Father's House. I also decided to try Missa in Cantu and Missa in Lecta audio CDs.
I suppose I was wondering if you knew of any other resources for learning to chant the Ordinary of the Mass?

Since you're attending the Extraordinary Form, I would contact your music director. Ask what Mass music he uses (as in what number Mass or the name of the Mass, as in De Angelis or Mass XVI). Then you can narrow down finding recordings for those Mass Ordinaries.

Oh, those are beautiful! They don't replace my favorite Solesmes, though. I'm a purist and don't believe in accompaniment for chant. It does sound pretty, and as an organist, I like to hear it. But there is something just hauntingly beautiful of the unaccompanied voice singing chant. The organ is in imitation of the human singing voice, which is held in the highest place of honor for sacred music.
To find recordings of the Propers for the whole Liturgical Year is going to be expensive because there are so many. Have you see the Chant book for the Propers? It is THICK! Some of the old chant books you can find online at Musica Sacra. It's a treasure trove, I tell you!
The Cantius look good, although I have not heard them. Is there a way to listen to preview?

Probably too many. I read recommendations from musicians I respect and like their opinions (Chant Cafe is one source). I do like to have a variety of chant, because it doesn't always look alike in interpretation.
Rachel May's brother is at St. Michael's Abbey and they have 3 recordings.

Musica Sacra has online audio files
Clear Creek Monastery in Oklahoma has some cds, also. My friend just visited this past Holy Week and was very impressed.
Adoremus highlights instructional cds. More articles on sacred music.
Sisters of the Most Precious Blood in O'Fallon, Missouri, have a rich history in the Liturgical Movement, Monsignor Hellreigel, and so I mention their cds. They are simply done, older recordings, but lovely.

I really enjoy unaccompanied chant and only recently have begun to prefer it. Those look wonderful! I had actually come across their CDs for Tenebrae and waffled. The Solesmes Collection is a really extraordinary collection of CDs!!! So glad you mentioned them (I'm sure you have before and I just missed it!)
