Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

If I want to find out when a specific verse will be read, is there a way to find out?

For example, if I wanted to know when John 1:1 or another verse would be read at Mass....can that be done?

Michaela, you can see all of the Sunday Mass Readings for the next few years at this Roman Catholic Lectionary site. If you click on the link that says "Scripture Index for Lectionary Readings: Sundays and Major Feasts" you will be taken to a list, in order, of all the readings for these days.

There are three cycles: A, B, and C. This year is A, 2012 is B, and 2013 will be C.

If you click on "Lectionary for the Mass (1998/2002 Edition)", you will be taken to a page with a list of liturgical season options. You can click on these for a full listing of all readings during that season/year. For example, if you click on "Sundays in Ordinary Time-Cycle A", you will see all the readings for Ordinary Time for 2011.

If you can get to those lists.. you can use the "find on page" option in your browser (usually under "edit" top lefthand menu)
