Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

As I am finishing up my Mary in Advent posts, I am realizing how much I got out of this series. It was such a blessing to me, and I hope to others, too.

I am wondering if there is any interest in a blog that would offer a series of short lessons on different religious topics, perhaps with a focus on Scripture? About as long as each of the Mary posts? Would this be of interest to anyone? If so, what topics would be of interest?

I have been thinking along the lines of :

A study of a papal encyclical...I'm especially interested in studying Dies Domini (The Day of the Lord). Perhaps this would include practical ideas for the domestic church, also.
A biblical look at the mysteries of the Rosary.
A study of one Gospel (this would be a LONG series).
Life of Paul or Peter
Angels
Women of Faith in Scripture (and maybe how they are types of Mary)
The Virtues
Godly Womanhood

Lots of these ideas have been developed into full-fledged studies elsewhere, but as homeschooling moms I think we only have a short time perhaps a few times a week to devote to this kind of study. So I'm thinking along the lines of a relatively short post maybe 2 times a week. That means it would take a long time to cover the material, but it also means people could really have time to think about it as they go along and incorporate what they are learning into their lives.

I still am discerning whether or not I have the time and the call, as it were, to do this, but it seems like a good and holy use for a blog at any rate! For sure I can't do a blog on crafting anything. at. all.

I'd love input from anyone...
