Yes, I do know about John 20:21-23, James 5:14-16, and Matthew 18:18 and many other verses dealing with confession. I'm half-way through Scott Hahn's book Lord, Have Mercy: The Healing Power of Confession.

This morning, Nicholas and I were having a talk about forgiveness for murderers. I think I blundered.
He's on to other things, but it's been on my mind all day long. (He's good about getting me to research everything. He's so full of questions. I'm learning along with him.)

I hesitate asking this here because it's probably such an obvious and dumb question.    Would someone who is a Catholic please volunteer and attempt to answer my question. I'd PM or email you with this question.
