Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So, what religious jewelry or devotional, if any do you wear? This poll will accept multiple votes as I know many people wear multiple items - like my son and daughter had several different medals on a chain.

I have only one - a "Other Marian Medal" on a chain - it's Our Lady of La Leche. I have a devotion to her as a patron of new mothers and especially related to birth and breastfeeding. I volunteer supporting and counseling mothers in that area and it has always been a special focus for me.

My daughter has been making beautiful rosary bracelets. I want her to make me one, so I can start wearing that as well.

So...I had to vote three times. I used to joke after I converted that I would probably die by being strangled in the night by scapulars and medals. Well, there are worse ways to go!

I wear a blue miraculous medal that my grandmother bought for my mother when she was a little girl. I'm supposed to wear a scapular, but I often forget, or it won't stay under my clothing.

I normally wear a crucifix, but sometimes swap it out for a St Michael medal. I often wear a bracelet inscribed with the St Francis peace prayer (didn't see a category for that), and I also occasionally wear a rosary bracelet.

The rosary bracelet choice covers it since it also says "other bracelet." I figured their were so many options there all couldn't be named. My daughter has one of those stretch bracelets with the saint image on each bead. Figured some would wear those as well.

I wear a lot of James Avery charms. Some on a necklace and some on a charm bracelet. I haven't worn my necklace in a while. I need to get it out.

I wear a scapular all the time. Tried wearing a Miraculous Medal but the baby kept on pulling it off until I finally took it off and now just wear it occasionally. Same with the cross.

Although I wear a Crucifix and a Miraculous medal, I couldn't tick them both.
so I had to vote twice.

Yes you have to vote twice - that is how this system works for multiple choices. Sorry.

My dh always wanted to get me a diamond solitaire since I didn't get one at our engagement, and last year he asked what I wanted so he could look. I asked (and received) a gold Miraculous medal and crucifix on a gold chain. I wear it everyday and love it more than I would a solitaire ring.

I wear a wooden crucifix on a cord.

The last time I tried to wear a medal for a prolonged period of time I developed a allergy to the base medal chain so I went back to my wood and cord necklace.

I did wear the Miraculous medal but it fell off , then within the week my Our Lady Mount Carmel of Garabandal arrived I've worn it 4 yrs now ! I also wear a brown scapular in my pocket as the wool makes me itchy it was a gift from someone who visited Padre Pio & used to correspond with him . Then I wear with my Lady medal the celtic ring I bought dh many yrs ago as a wedding ring but it didn't fit plus he cannot wear jewelry at all at work as any jewelry is considered a hazard to wear it gets caught in machinery etc.
so I wear it sort of as a symbol of our love & marriage .

I had to vote 4 times.

I have a delicate little gold chain that my dad brought me back from a trip to Puerto Rico when I was 12. I've always worn it. My dh bought me a tiny detailed crucifix to wear on the chain a long time ago - the crucifix is probably no more than 1/2" tall. I've been looking for a very small Miraculous Medal to wear with it and finally found one last year. It doesn't overwhelm the little chain, and my jewelry making daughter fixed it so they hang together. I rarely take it off.

I sometimes wear a Rosary bracelet that also has a Miraculous Medal attached (I have 2 - one with turquoise beads and one with silver and gold beads), and I always wear my scapular.

I wear an Our Lady of Guadalupe medal. Our family has a great devotion to her. And I really love my medal. Before I had the medal, I wore a Miraculous medal. On occassion, I wear a silver crucifix. I also have a rosary bracelet as well as a bracelet with assorted medals attached to it. I have collected many other medals and would like to have them attached to the bracelet as well.

I also have two necklaces that I wear, one with Mary and the other with the Holy Spirit. But I don't wear all the necklaces at the same time!

I once said that about being crushed by my library book cart but yours is better.

These are nice!

I personally haven't worn anything in a long time, until about a month ago. Now I wear a Miraculous Medal that the Virgin Mary gave me. (yes, yes... I know it's one of those things sent to everyone on a mailing list - I get a ton of them - but the timing was impeccable)

I voted twice but have covered a lot of my jewelry.

1. I voted for ring since I wear a rosary ring that I got for Christmas my first year of college. I wanted something very special from my parents that I could take with me on my trip to Austria to study for a semester. I fell in love with the simpleness of it and still love it so very much.

2. I have a collection of 3 very special Marian medals. I wear them all separately at different times but they all have very special meaning for me.

The first one is an Our Lady of Guadalupe that I got the year I had my first child straight from the Basilica in Mexico City. It is two toned gold and I wear it on an old gold chain of my mothers.

The second is a Miraculous Medal that my Mom gave me after her trip to Rue de Bac in 1997. She felt like she needed to get it for me and for me to wear it. I was wearing it when I met my husband and he commented on it because of his devotion to Our Lady and the Immaculata.

The last one is a medal from Our Lady of Pilar, my namesake, that I got when I was there in 1991. I was granted special permission to kiss the pillar and we got the medal after that.

As you can see such a huge selection of very precious medals makes my jewelry selections fun in the morning
