Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was planning a couple of posts and trying to remind myself in advance to gain every possible Indulgence coming up when I found this digest of the Enchridion of Indulgences.

It is dated 1968, so I'm wondering if this is the current listing and how would one find out? What does Enchiridion mean?

It's very exciting!! Judging by this list, if it is the correct one, we should be able to gain an Indulgence (Plenary under the usual conditions including no attachment to even venial sins or partial otherwise) every day for much of November!! Some of these apply only to a soul in Purgatory.

I will post more reminders after I find out more about these. Thanks SO much!

Funny you should bring this up, Gwen. I had just pulled out my copy yesterday to use the Litany of Saints for All Saints Day.

I always use this iste for the Enchiridion.

The word means handbook or manual, and although dated 1968, it is the current one in use, replacing the Raccolta..

Thanks Jenn!

I was hoping to hear from you. The link to the Raccolta is actually the same as the first one for the Enchiridion.

This is all so educational. I think Our Lord is really trying to stear us toward this particular act of Mercy right now and it just gives us such an easy and merciful way to help our brothers and sisters in Purgatory. I pray especially for a particular family name and then ask for the Indulgence for the one who is most in need.

It's a very timely topic since Luther rebelled against Indulgences in particular. All Hallows Eve is known as Reformation Sunday.....so sad!!

Oh, I wasn't linking the Raccolta, but the Apostolic Constitution, explaining the replacement.

The Raccolta is super long. Here it is.
