Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was just wondering if anyone out there might be interested in some "Extraordinary Form" Mass prep worksheets for their kids. I had been making them for a few weeks before we had the baby and giving them out to friends. I would like to post some on my blog, but am not quite sure how to put pdf's up on there yet.

I couldn't commit to doing it every week because life is so busy right now with the baby nursing All the Time! However if there are others interested in this, I would be willing to figure out how to share it on my Montessori Candy Blog.

Let me know what you think! :)

Are they worksheets to do with the Sunday's readings and feast? That sounds really neat!

Totally let me know if you do this! I think people would really like these.

Anyway, I used to host my pdfs (for free) on Google Docs until I "exceeded allowable bandwith" with my lenten calendar. Then I started hosting things on Scribd but now they're charging to download anything over a year old. So I'm back to using Google Docs again for now. I don't think the bandwith thing happens that often. There were just a LOT of people trying to download it on the same day (Mardi Gras). Google Docs works really well but there's no counter on there so you can't know how many people have downloaded/printed it or anything. If you want to be able to keep track, you can first make your Google docs link into a bitly link and then link through that. Bitly will tell you how many people have clicked the link.

Alright this got really long.

Glad you went long, Lacy. I wasn't aware of that info on Scribd. I couldn't find that info online. I have a few things there there will be more than a year old.

I don't have all the hits you have, Lacy, so I can't guarantee. Sometimes I have people complaining it doesn't download correctly, but in all, I have rarely had problems.

Boy oh boy has it been a crazy two days! Two emergency trips to the Doctor's in two days for two different kids. Life is never dull with a large family!

Anyhow,
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I am also happy to hear that there actually would be an interest in my worksheets! Like I said before, they may not be consistent because of my busy mama life, but hey they'd be free and if they could be put to good use then GREAT!!!

How nice that Wordpress let's you host your files there! And for free, Wow! Maybe I'll switch in the future if there seems to be an increase in interest in the worksheets.

Lacy, thanks for recommending Google docs. I'll have to check it out and try it. I will also look into Bitly. Maybe when I'm nursing the baby in a little bit. I'm excited to try it out!

My children have in the past enjoyed doing the worksheets with me on Saturday night before Mass. It was a nice quiet activity that could be done and open up more discussion. I really don't mean for them to be "busy work", but rather a way to familiarize the children with the missal alongside their parents, prepare them for the next day, and also let them know that prayers said in the Mass can be found in Sacred Scripture. I think the last one is an important point for when they grow up and maybe get challenged by people of other faiths who believe in things like Sola Scriptura, etc.

I'll let you all know when I get something up!
