Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are off to our annual homeschool camp in a less than 48hours and typical me I have left some items to the last minute.

One matter is I am meant to be running a catechesis class for the 3-6yr olds. Only one session, I have an hour and a half slot but can't imagine them lasting much past 40min.

I was thinking of doing something around prayer life (camp theme), such as blessing themselves etc. But am totally open to other ideas.

Help please

oh yeah.. they're not gonna last that long.. especially the 3 yr olds I would make it several activities that are interelated and have one be a very active game and have one involve food that they get to eat right then and intersperse the prayer things in between those.. you'll keep them involved better and they'll have fun.

Maybe you could do this Good Shepherd Activity with them. I also posted some preschool lessons but I don't know if that's exactly what you're looking for. Hope this was helpful!

I would learn about a saint or bible story each day and do a craft related. Work on one prayer the whole week? Learning about blessing themselves would be great! Also make sure you have some sort of running around/ playtime/ exercise!!
I would have something for them to work on when they first come in... Playdoh, puzzles, coloring page set out to get their attention right away!
