Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please remember in prayer all priests who will be ordained today, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I don't know how I missed this beautiful site, listed by our own Zeliemum....it is such a blessing for all priests and those who wish to support them spiritually:

edited to add: God must really want us to visit this site and promote spiritual motherhood of priests because He just performed a minor miracle....He actually helped me figure out how to post a hyperlink!

Our new priests (five of them) were ordained on May 15. We know two of them well. I was disappointed to miss the actual ordination as I was with my father when he was dying, but my husband and kids got to go.

on getting the link to work! And I agree with you on how great the blog is. They have done such a nice job all year keeping it up and sharing such great information. It has been a great blessing and reminder to me during the year. Anne is a contributor along with Zeliemum.

That's great, Angie. We know one of the Phoenix priests ordained - okay we've met him - don't really know him well or anything. Fr. Matt Henry did his seminary studies here in Denver at St. John Vianney Seminary. I guarantee you that every priest recently ordained who studied there is PHENOMENAL - holy, pastoral, solidly formed, great homiliests, obedient, orthodox...I could go on and on...

I found this video of the Phoenix ordination on Youtube - the server holding the book is another seminarian from Phoenix who studies here, who we do know better. He is a great guy.

We were watching all the events in the Vatican for the closing of the Year of the Priest and the feast of the Sacred Heart, it was great to hear the testimonies (there was a moving one given by a family who had priests and religious among their children, talking about how they fostered and prayed for this grace) and see SO MANY young and vibrant priests!!! I believe that the Mass was the biggest co-concelebrated Mass in history, how wonderful! The Holy Father couldn't stop smiling the whole time, and no wonder.

Thank you for sharing the Spiritual Motherhood for Priests link, I'd love to draw your attention to the most recent post by Zeliemum, Wife, mother and mystic of Mexico, Venerable Conchita Cabrera de Armida she put in alot of information about this Venerable, it was a real delight to read!

Offering a prayer for all those newly ordained priests, may God raise them up to be saintly shepherds all their life long, for His Church.

Our newest priest, ordained today, was a classmate of our pastor many years ago - he left the seminary, raised a family and went back to seminary after his wife passed away.

Even more wonderful, his son is a priest in our diocese, too!
