My husband and I were looking at the four book set for the Liturgy of the Hours. Here is a link for it. We are wondering how this differs from what we use now which is one book called Christian Prayer. Here is a link for that , although the cover for ours is a bit different.
We are wondering what the difference is. I'm also wondering if this would be a good thing to splurge on as a birthday present for my husband.
Is anyone able to explain the contents of four book set and how it differs from the smaller book that we use?

The main difference is that the four-volume set contains the Office of Readings. There's a lot of good stuff in there, a Bible selection and a selection from a saint each day.
