Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I would like to read a good apologetics book for me, not for children or teens (unless the book is meant for all). Does anyone have a good recommendation? Thank you. I couldn't find an old post recently that talked about one for adults not students/kids.

What in particular are you looking for Robina?

Just something for your knowledge or to talk to a particular person? or to counter arguments from a particular perspective?

My husband keeps highly praising the book Apologetics and Catholic Doctrine. It's a reprint of an old text and he says it is excellent!

I was wondering the same thing as Jody - if there is a particular focus or topic or something more general. An overview type book or more indepth?

More just a general book. This subject has been on my to-read list for a while. There are just so many books out there. Thanks.

If you get any of the San Juan apologetics books I think you will find them very helpful.

Check out Campaigners for Christ Handbook by David Goldstein. Originally published in 1931, it contains basic teachings of Catholicity as well as answers to inquiries and objections with which Catholics are likely to be confronted with.

Campaigners for Christ Handbook is a handy compilation of doctrinal, historical, and statistical data and arguments to be used to defend and explain the faith.
