Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK I don't like that this one says "The 25 days of Christmas" since it's actually ADVENT but the idea is cute!

The Purl Bee has a nice Embroidered Felt Advent Calendar and Blue House on a Hill has this one.

I just made this one: http://allsorts.typepad.com/allsorts/2007/11/advent-calendar .html

So easy and you can make 28 pockets so you can always have the right amount of days! No matter how many! Advent has anywhere from 22 to 28 days depending on the year. (26 this year).

I made it in about 2 weeks taking my time and enlarged it a bit (3.5'' instead of 2" and it works great)

Hope this helps!

These are all such wonderful ideas! We do a very, very, very simple paper chain, with activities listed on the inside. Some of my ideas for activities are listed here on my blog, but there aren't any pictures of our simple paper Advent chain. I'm sure you can imagine a basic, simple purple and pink construction paper chain.    Maybe I'll work on a fancier one for next Advent.
