Just wanted to remind everyone that the 4th  anniversary of his death is tomorrow.
We plan to remember him with a meal of kielbasa, red potatoes and ale (rounded out by some veggies)....and rice pudding for dessert!

I have sons birthdays on April 2nd and April 16th, so we have lots of papal/b day celebrating going on!!

The Polish press was reporting he'll be beatified on April 2nd next year.
If that's the case, my children who are named for him can finally claim their name days.

We claim them already!  !
The question about beatification is that the 2nd of April next year is Good Friday ... but if they do ... I know a high school that REALLY needs to get up a trip to go over for it!
I'm not sure what we're making for dinner, but we'll have fun talking, reading, crafting and just generally reveling in the memories of this great Pope! (who, once he gave a few audiences, seemed to have put the kabosh on Polish jokes!  )

We'll have to have some pierogies tonight, I think I have some sausage too in the freezer....don't think it's Polish, but Italian is close
