Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have three books on Mary and I am trying to decide which one to read aloud tomorrow.

Mary Mother of Jesus by de Paola

Mary Mother of Jesus by Joslin/Wisenfeld

Young Mary of Nazareth Marianna Mayer

These books all relate stories of Mary that are small t traditions, I believe? I'm not too familiar with extra biblical stories of Mary, and I can't tell when a book is presenting a commonly told tradition (ok with me) or when its the creation of the author (not ok with me). The first two I feel pretty comfortable with. The third one relates more stories and I *love* the artwork and the way the story reads. Does anyone have this book and is it "ok" to use, theologically?
