Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Blooming Poinsettias

Cookie: Poinsettia Balls

I was going to suggest those as well - they are so cute!

I hope you don't mind - I went a little google crazy, since I'm poinsettia crazy as well. Here are a few more ideas...

From my friend Martha
White chocolate poinsettia
Rick-rack poinsettias
Twinkling foil poinsettias
Paper poinsettias - these are stamped but you could easily hand draw the leaves with a silver pen.

From Better Homes and Gardens
Felt poinsettia ornament
Poinsettia-shaped fruit bread
Poinsettia cookies
Pretty chenille poinsettia garland

From Family Fun
Poinsettia napkin rings

Crocheted poinsettia

I love it when MaryM goes Google crazy. I hope to find something simple with supplies on hand I can whip up for Friday. Thanks Michaela for starting the thread and all the great ideas from all of you!

While visiting The Crafty Crow I came across this simple poinsettia craft (involves ripping tissue paper) -- maybe a greeting card or picture to display

Somewhere, there are craft instructions for a framed holy card of Our Lady of Guadalupe that is done with rose oil and sculpey?

I can't find it anywhere...Anyone know where I might have read this???

~Books, sounds intriguing...I don't remember it but was curious as it sounds so cool. I googled and found it in Ann Ball's book Catholic Traditions in Crafts. That excerpt of the book is posted online here.
