This 2008-2009 school year, my children and I are on a mission to find new books worthy of Catholic Mosaic quality.
In the future there "might" be a CM Bk. 2. For now Hillside Education and I are focusing on expanding the yearly booklist [PDF file"> and we'd love your help.
We need saint books, feast day offerings, character books, virtue books, all books that can teach our children something about our Catholic faith or living a Christian lifestyle.
If you feel one is of mosaic quality worth featuring at a later date, please label it as such...with an asterik symbol or something.

A few Old Testament picture books ...
The Story of Creation (Jane Ray)
Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden (Jane Ray) - I have only seen and skimmed this one, and I'm not sure if it would work for a Catholic book.
Noah's Ark (Jane Ray)
Exodus (Brian Wildsmith)
Joseph (Brian Wildsmith)
This book also looks interesting, though it isn't due for publication until next month (I like the publisher, Barefoot Books, so sometimes check to see what they have in the pipeline)...
To Everything There is a Season (Jude Daly) - words from Ecclesiastes, illustrated by scenes of life in South Africa

I agree on the Brian Wildsmith books. I also would look into his Mary and Jesus books.
And Demi's Mary and Jesus...I have only skimmed them.
Gennady Spirin books we just love.
I only skimmed it, but I was really excited by The Lady in the Blue Cloak and thought it might be a possibility.

**Brother Sun Sister Moon by Margaret Mayo looks really good. I just picked it up from the library. It is beautifully illustrated as well. There is a movie by the same title. Blessings, Valerie

I enthusiastically second The Wonderful Life of Russia's Saint Sergius of Radonezh.
I haven't seen it myself but as Jenn suggests, I think The Lady in the Blue Cloak would be a great consideration and for so many US ladies, a historical connection to the country.
I LOVE Josephine Poole's Joan of Arc!
Maria, I hadn't heard of the St Hildegard book..sounds great!
Since there was a book for Pope John Paul II CM 1 - maybe Joseph and Chico in a future CM?
I second Jenn on any of Genady Spirin's books.
I know it is not released as yet, but Take it to the Queen?

Little Boy’s Christmas Gift and The Donkey and the Golden Light by John Speirs - I love the illustrations!
Drita - Amna Hackett from Fountain Resources is sending this to my annual book look - I love Anna's ability to source the most amazing Catholic picture books - each year is a surprise and joy...and I tend to think I've seen alot!

I am going to totally derail this thread and request a Catholic Mosaic for middle school students.
My vote - Kat Finds a Friend by Joan Stromberg. We've read and loved nearly all her books, actually, but this one inspired my dd to request a trip to Emmitsburg to see where Kat and Mother Seton lived, and to visit their gravesites. Not all books are that inspiring.
I think a middle school Mosaic would be a great asset to those of us who work with co-ops and book clubs...
You may now resume your normal programming.

No, we can't! It's a fabulous idea, Nancy, one that I'm super excited about. For a middle school title I liked Young Joan about Joan of Arc back on the farm before her life got exciting. 
Spirit Child is a great picture book I've enjoyed this year, Cay.
