Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

If tomorrow is the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, why does my calendar say Feast of the Visitation? Was this changed, or is it just my calendar?
I get frustrated when different sources say different things.

Truly this year is liturgically very unique due to such an early Easter.

Tomorrow is the Visitation which is always May 31st. It is a Feast, so it "outranks" the memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary -- which is a floating memorial and *usually* follows the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart.

However, not this year.

There's a hierarchy in the liturgical calendar and some celebrations are "lost" when they are outranked. Some are moved.

To the best of my knowledge the memorial of the Immaculate Heart gets lost and not moved. (Here's last years blurb about the memorial from catholicculture.org).

But the Visitation is a great Feast!!
