Does someone have a First Communion Novena prayer to share?

Oh, the only one that I know of is sold by CHC. It is a little blue booklet called "Welcome Jesus". Each day, the child says a prayer and focuses on a virtue which is turned into a flower to give to Jesus on their First Communion Day. It is a reprint excerpted from an older book and all of my children who have received their First Communion have really liked it. I do not know if CHC has the booklet listed online or in their catalog; I had to ask about it 3 years ago.

We've used that one also. It's the only one I could think of off the top of my head.

This is the one we have too. It says copyright 2000, and on the back it says published by Oremus. mail@oremus.com
I looked a couple weeks ago at CHC and Oremus and didn't find it on-line.

Why couldn't you make your own novena?

I believe it is fine to write your own novena and I think this is a great idea, Donna. My daughter's godmother gave her the above mentioned novena book with pictures of flowers for each day's virtures. At the end of the novena she had this wreath of flowers. Though this is fine for boys as well as girls, I wondered about one more specifically for a boy and considered putting one together but never got to it. I was thinking along the lines of the Armor of GOd - though there are only 6 pieces to that. You could add the theological virtues (faith, hope, charity) and have nine. Each day could focus on that virtue or piece of armor and it could be added to a soldier figure.
So...should we try to write something together?

We started yesterday praying the novena to the Sacred Heart. I found it listed on EWTN. I love the ideas Donna and Mary shared. How beautiful!
Donna-we will keep Christian in our prayers. Our ds makes his the same day...my dh made his on May 5th a long time ago. We will be saying the novena from the 5-13th too!
Elizabeth-thanks for getting this rolling for us. Will remember your family at the shrine of St. Therese when we attend Mass there.
God bless everyone,
Marybeth

This little booklet: Preparing for my Holy Communion is the ANSWER to this thread and is so BEAUTIFUL!!!!! There is also a boy-version!!!!
They are simple little booklets, 8x11 pages folded in half, color printed on cardstock with beautiful 4x6 holy card / religious images on 1 side, the prayer on the other.
They do seem a bit costly for "a booklet"...it's not a BOOK or even has a durable cover. BUT it is REALLY SWEET and a beautiful booklet! They are printed by Joe Bourbeau Press in Quebec.

Suzanne!!!! I cannot thank you enough! I saw these just two weeks ago and was wondering for a review! I'm planning for next year First Communion and was wondering about these booklets!
And so great that there is a boy one.
Now, I have some recommendations and some to ask about in another thread.

Jenn---are you going to ask about the exam of conscience? or perhaps the Children's Treasury of Daily Prayers? Because they are EQUALLY WONDERFUL!!!!! Christine linked to the Treasury of Daily Prayers in the Liturgy-thread a couple weeks ago and it is WONDERFUL! The format is very similar to how Meredith describes in her blog post a few years ago.
So, if you are going to ask about those in another thread, I am SO HAPPY to GUSH about them!
but...sorry.... ...totally digressing from the FHC Novena!

Oh, Suzanne, I have not seen the Exam of Conscience, yet. I might have to buy it the next time that I place an order with Fraternity Publications.
The Communion Book is also one of my First Holy Communion resources.
