Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been asked to help with the Rosary for a funeral we will attend this week. There will be no priest. Is there an official Rosary that is said? Is a mix of mysteries appropriate? Help! I know I'll receive a quicker answer here then calling our parish. :)

It is the Glorious Mysteries that are traditionally prayed at a funeral rosary.

You can say the Eternal Rest prayer after each decade.

Eternal rest grant unto him/her, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him/her. May he/she rest in peace. Amen.

Thank you, Mary and Corrine. We'll say the Glorious Mysteries. :) It was quite sweet to see my dad planning this all out with my two oldest this afternoon - the three of them will lead the Rosary. Thanks again!
