Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can you tell me which is the newest version of the Catechism of the Catholic Church?   I have this white-covered pocket verion. Is there a newer version?

Both the old and new versions look identical except for the fine print at the bottom of the cover that says, "Includes Modifications from the Editio Typica"

If yours says that, you have the newest version.

Mine is just like this one shown at the USCCB wouldn't that be the newest?

http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/

It does not say "Includes Modifications from the Editio Typica" but it does say "second edition"

My understanding is that green one is the big version of the white one that I have.

In your link Jodie, there is a link to copyright info and it says this:

"Second Edition
Revised in accordance with the official Latin text promulgated by Pope John Paul II
Contains glossary and analytical index"

That sounds good!

I think the green is a second edition because it is the 2nd version by that publisher--USCC Publishing Services--whereas mine isn't a second edition because it was published by a different company--Doubleday.

Also when I checked the copyright dates, both the green and the white are the same, and mine does say "includes modifications from the Editio Typica" so I guess I'm ok! Thank you!
