Has anyone used Mary's White League from Fatima Family Apostolate with their children?
I'm very interested in it, but I want to hear from some people who have actually used it before I spend $45 on it...
Thanks!
Dawn

I love it! But then, I adore Fr. Fox. We don't always have the spiritual direction we need down here and so I tend to go to Fr. Fox and any publication he's done for help. We have the great fortune of being about 2 hours away from the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament where Fr. offers Mass every day at Noon!
I used Mary's White League last year with my (then) 5 yo ds and 9 yo dd. The 9/10 yo really enjoyed it. I did too. My 5 yo son had a hard time. He, like most boys, cannot sit still and listen to anything! The whole program depends on the kids listening to the tapes and then reflecting on them with you. The program is solid and beautiful, but if you've got a little guy who has some attention challenges, be aware that he will not get as much out of it as the others will. I think we're going to come at it from a different angle this year because I think the program is so worthwhile. As an aside, we also have many of Father Fox's other stuff - his storytime albums on CD. Those are great to keep in the van, and my ds really likes those!
In short the program fosters reverence and plants the seeds of devotion to the child's Guardian Angel, the Blessed Mother, and God the Father. It's a gem IMHO.

Thank you, Jennifer! That's exactly the kind of information I was looking for. You are so lucky to live near Fr. Fox!
Dawn, who is all set to go on a shopping spree at Fatima Family Apostolate!

Thats funny Jennifer- we have a borrowed set we are using that dd loves. The friend who loaned it has boys and they only hold still during a game time huddle
She cant wait till her baby dd is older.
I found his voice odd at first to be very honest but now find it very soothing...perhaps it is that so much of what we hear is so fast paced and complicated hmmm...
But basically i ditto Jennifer
I know that the book is used for all the levels and is Under 10 dollars so you only have to buy it with the first set of talks.

I did want to add that I didn't care for the artwork in the Rosary book. Could just be a personal preference, but I'm a stickler for beautiful art. You use the Rosary book with the program as you take the children through each mystery of the Rosary and Fr. offers some insight and guidance for meditating on that mystery. I was instantly bored with the blue/black 70'ish illustrations. I'm more of a Boticelli/Raphael/Fra Angelico kind of a girl. There are some really beautifully illustrated rosary books for kids out there - think I ordered mine from CHC - that don't break the bank. I thought about that last night and wanted to mention it for your shopping spree
Maggie - I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one with that experience with my ds. Predictable I suppose, but affirming none the less. Thanks for sharing!

Jennifer,
Actually, I already have the Rosary book from FFA...for some reason, I have just the Mary's White League book, too, but not the tapes. I'm not too crazy about the illustrations, either, but the kids like for me to read the meditations to them when we pray the Rosary together.
I bought the Rosary prints from CHC, too and made little booklets for the kids with 4x6 picture albums. My 3yod calls it her "little Bible."
Thanks again for the reviews!
Dawn
