Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This is a difficult post to write. I am new to the forum and already feel at home with you all. 16 years ago I married my first love and we have had a typical marriage of ups and downs. We love homeschooling our 4 children and are very happy. My dh is a noncatholic and recently has become a christian in the Church of Christ faith. He is now asking me to join him and I need any help advice you can give me. I have tried countless times to get him to see my point of view religiously. I even tried to get him to read Rome Sweet Home but to no avail. He as not really pressed the issue too much but I feel it coming. We have tried going to both churches however, the children are getting older and are beginning to feel the pressure of the situation. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Oh Anne what a challenge God has placed before you. Is there a priest you can go to? I think my only counsel would be to start with a priest and seek his wisdom. God's ways are often unclear to us at first, seek His will always, stay true to your vocation and your beloved husband. Strengthen your prayer life so you will be open to hearing God's direction. I believe God will reward your faithfulness and provide the people you need to accomplish His will. You have my prayers for wisdom. I will pray that Our Lady wraps you and your family in her mantle of protection.

This can be a very difficult situation. A good friend of mine has an almost non-believing husband which presents it own set of problems. She seeks the wisdom of St. Rita of Cascia and Our Blessed Mother. I will pray for you and your family.

Dear Ladies. Thank you so much for the lovely posts. I am feeling the Holy Spirit working strongly inside me as I read your words. Jennifer your advice was so heartwarming and I will call a Priest who is a close friend to help with this issue. May your prayers be heard and God's Will carried out.

Praying for you, Anne. This is such a difficult situation.
I did a little research a while ago on the Church of Christ and found it very interesting, and infuriating. They believe that they are the Church that Christ established and are very anti-Catholic. There are a lot of inconsistencies and downright nonsense in what they teach, as you can imagine.
If your husband is the logical type, it may be best to approach this from a historical prospective more so than religious. Following the historical trail from the apostles til today, one can easily see that the Catholic church is the only one that has a continuing presence.
This may not be the time to get into it with him, but possibly this approach may in time help him to see the truth?
Anyway, I'll be praying for you!

Anne,
(((HUGS))) and prayers.
Have you read The Secret Diary of Elisabeth Leseur? It might be a good read for you right now.

I know you will get lots of prayers and suggestions from the ladies here. God bless you!
