Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm looking for skit ideas as I need to start collecting a list. One person, a few people, lots of people-doesn't matter!

Funny ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

There is a collection of mini-plays written by Mother Francis. They are all lives of Saints, but accomodate much smaller groups, which is why we like them.

We have also done our own skits based on one of the Sunday readings. These were impromptu re-tellings of one of the readings at Mass for one of our Sunday afternoon activities.

This website has a lot of skits for cub scouts and boy scouts to use, maybe you can find some here:

http://www.macscouter.com/Skits/index.html

Some of them (if I remember correctly) contain some 10 year old boy humor that involves every bodily function possible

Hope this helps!

I just found (again, how come I keep forgetting about this site?) A to Z Home's Cool Homeschooling which has a Drama section with lots of links.

We have a drama group in our neighborhood homeschooling group. The kids meet two times to prepare a short one-act plays. They have a dress rehearsal, followed immediately by the performance, on the third meeting day which is held at a local library. My girls LOVE this activity more than any other we are involved in.

I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing you are looking for, but the drama mom gets books of plays from the library. These are not necessarily skits, but short plays. Some are funny, but not all are.
