Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Macbeth mentioned asking for new hymnals (maybe). This brings up a question - What hymnals is your church using and what are some of the best hymnals out there? What are some of the pros and cons of what is used.

Our dd college uses Gather. It seemed very, very limited in terms of more traditional music.

EWTN uses Adoremus but the music all seems at a very high range to sing for most congregations.

Father Saunders Parish Our Lady of Hope in Virginia (don't have the link right now) uses The St. Michael Hymnal which is very nice.

This is an excellent breakdown of ideal hymnal choices.

And on the discussion of heretical hymns....

The St. Michael Hymnal is wonderful. I was at the Parish and personaly know the priest and the organist who wrote it played for our wedding!

Here is the link from the church that created it!
