Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have added a second blog where I am planning to make resource suggestions with a different theme for each month. For July I am sharing ideas for classical music appreciation, starting with a run through the instruments of the orchestra. You can find it at Bookworm's Monthly Medley

PS. Can anyone recommend any music for tuba? I have a would-be tuba player!

John Williams has a great tuba concerto, and the page has a link to the sheet music, too.

Thanks MacBeth! The Amazon link also threw up some other interesting suggestions - a CD of British tuba concertos including one by Vaughan Williams, and one with a tuba and brass band concerto. My would be tuba player still has some growing to do before she can move up from her baritone ... she ultimately wants to play bass tuba, which is taller than she is .
