Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello - I am a new member to this group, and new to homeschooling as well. Have been immersed for the last few weeks in choosing and planning our curriculum, choosing our books, and Art is the final piece of the puzzle to fit together ;-) Planning to use Mommy Its a Renoir and Discovering Great Artists at home next year - the latter is on order. Are there other resources you recommend for ages 5 and 7?
Also, especially looking for ideas for a really nice Catholic Art project that could be a special keepsake piece. Would like to do at least one this year in our family. AND as the appointed VBS craft lady in our parish I am looking for an art/keepsake project that could be accomplished in one week in a larger group setting. (ages 4-10)

Usually I have lots of ideas, but my well is a bit dry at the moment. Am probably overthinking it ;-)   If any of you have suggestions I would be so grateful!

I'm not an artist AT ALL, but I find a lot of inspiration at this web site:

http://www.thatartistwoman.org/

I wish the site had more tags to be able to search better, because there are SO many craft ideas.

I am always looking for keepsake items, too. I don't like throwaway crafts.

Last year my kids and I made these, which are on that website. We gave them out to family members, who loved them.
