Over at the Homeschool Buyer's Co-op there is a deal that runs until May 31st for a three year subscription to all the drawing lessons at the Mark Kistler website.
The cost for three years is $40.
You can view many of his sample lessons by following the links.
It looks like a pretty good deal for a series of fun, on-line drawing lessons.
My ds is very interested right now in learning to draw more realistically. We've been using dvds from the library, which have worked well. I am wondering if this would be a next good step for us.
Any Mark Kistler fans out there?

We had the Draw Squad videos growing up and really liked them!
I'm sure my boys would love his lessons. I'll have to think on this one!

Does this cover more than his book? We went through his book this year. I don't want to pay for the same lessons we already did, but he is great and if there is something in addition to the book then I would consider it.

From looking at the website, it covers two levels of basic drawing (shorter lessons for younger kids and longer ones for older) plus a section of lessons on 3-D drawing/animation.
It's definitely worth look at the sample lessons at the website. He talks throughout the lessons- he's pretty funny. There's also a FAQ section.

Did you get this?
It's still available on Homeschool Buyers Co-op and I am very interested. The thing I really like is that I don't have to do anything! I need more activities for my older children to do on there own.

I did sign up for this, and my ds really enjoys it. It is amazing how well his drawings turn out just from watching the lessons and following the instructions. He likes MK's humor, and I hear him laughing as he does the lessons.
The lessons are set up so that you can pick any picture that strikes your fancy and draw it. However, they are set up in order on the website to build drawing skills, and that is how Mk suggests you work through them.
I have noticed that when my ds tackles some of the more advanced lessons he tends to get frustrated when his drawings (of things like stairs going up and turning a corner) don't turn out perfectly. When that happens, I try to suggest gently that he go back and pick up with the next lesson in order. That usually works well.
I alternate between MK drawing lessons and Artistic Pursuits for our art.
My ds loves MK; my dd, not so much- though she may like it more when she is older.
I also picked up MK's drawing book very inexpensively on Amazon to keep on hand as a reference or just for the kids to look through.

I *loved* watching him draw on PBS as a kid! I was showing his website and drawing techniques to the kids just the other day. I haven't bought his materials and am glad to see your review, Melinda.

We love this! My 12yo ds hated drawing! Now he looks forward to doing his 2 lessons on Fridays. He's shading and combining his own creative touches! My 6yo ds even does the lessons and can shade, too! 
My 10yo dd went to his camp this summer and had a blast!
Everyone here improved their drawing skills with the use of the lessons on MK's site. :)
