Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone tell me if the cds that come with this are just instrumental, or does one have singing? I can't tell from the description at Emmanuel books. Thanks!

They are instrumental only, Melinda. No singing.

Additionally, the first CD ("learning CD) is just one verse of each song - to learn the tune (set the CD player to repeat). THen the second CD ("performance CD") has the entire song with multiple verses.

The whole premise is not to match a singer's voice but to develop one's own style. I was put off at first, but I am finding that we LOVE it!

So it is fairly easy to figure out how the words match the music?
I love music and want to teach the kids more songs.
But, oh my-- I need easy, KWIM?

YES! At least for me and I"m not one who can pick a tune like that. All the words are in the book of course, with the first verse or two right with the music notes there. But again, it's also about developing particular style - not copying someone else's, so my son has developed various "flourishes" that vary from time to time. It has really been great!
