I was inspired by this thread
to try this program.
Wow! My ds in one day went from crying that he was no good at drawing to drawing great chicken pictures. My dh came home and was so impressed. Later I caught him (dh) trying his own chicken picture My dd (4) tried her hand at every picture in the book.
Some libraries carry this series (not mine, of course). I had to buy a copy- but I'm so glad I did!

Melinda,
I've been slowly buying these books for my oldest for the same reason (although it was because of his lament of drawing in general instead of just upset about chicken pictures!)
We love it. We use it on Mondays for handwriting.

This is so funny .... definitely a case of great minds thinking alike as we just pulled these out last week! I've had them on the shelves for YEARS and have held on to them thru various purgings and now my 3 younger ones are LOVING them! They are so cute and make drawing so accessible.
TWO THUMBS WAY UP!

We have three of these and love them. I think maybe we will start acquiring more.

Yep! I used these a few years back for my current 9yo, but had completely forgotten about them for my 6 year old until last week. The first page she did was the chicken pic too.

Currently my driveway looks like a hen house, and two very chalky kids had to be put in the tub early tonight
