Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

In DWC Mona recommends using felt tip markers for drawing so the beginner would not become dependent on the eraser. What kind of felt tip markers do you use? She also talks about using a black drawing marker, what is she talking about here? Can you give me an example?

Thanks,

Natalia,
I just purchased these to use with DWC.

These markers are double sided so you only need to purchase one set of markers...not both fine and broad tip.

My kids have only done the "explore" with the markers lesson, but I am fairly pleased. They are "real" markers, they have to cover the table and open a window or put on a fan when they use them.

HTH,
Betsy

Thank you Betsy!

These are definitely more affordable than the Prismacolor ones. What other supplies did you buy?

I haven't started the lessons yet. I am just reading the book but I am excited to start!

Well...I am not that much a head of you. But a few of my friends are doing DWC too and having good success!

I also got the paper from Dick Blick's.

As for the Prismacolor markers...check out the price on Dick Blick's. They actually aren't too much more. However, I went with the Blick brand because the open stock markers are much more reasonable.

Besides that I haven't purchased anything else....now I just need to do it.

Betsy,

Have you seen this lesson plans ? I haven't had a chance to look at these plans in detail but it looks promising. Just wanted to share before I forget.

These lesson plans are a real time saver! I was thinking that I was going to need to make some sort of outline/check list to know what to do next. Now someone has done it for me. Thank you so much Natalie for finding this, I would have never thought to search the web for it!
