Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We attend the family symphony series through the Phoenix Symphony for music and I cobble together various books and cd's to create some sort of appreciation knowledge.    The symphony is great because Target gave a bunch of money to the Symphony so you get one free child ticket with each adult ticket, so the series of 6 concerts cost us $160 -- 3 adult tickets and 3 kid tickets (my sister attends with us, and we plan on taking Lydia again this year.)

I'd like the boys to take music lessons, but haven't pursued it for various reasons.

For art, we use Atelier's program. It's dvd based and the boys enjoy it. We started it 2 years ago, then last year life was crazy and we never did it, and started it over again this year. I'm loving their creations.

For Music:

Zach taught himself harmonica (and is quite good!)
Sarah is taking guitar lessons
Both are in our homeschool instrument ensemble
Both (family) are in our adult choir at church
We do a TON of other music stuff...the kids write
    music, and practice together

We're ABOUT to start Beautiful Feet's A History of Music program

For Art:

Zach doesn't do art anymore (he's in high school, and
chose music over art for his required 1/2 year,
which will end up as 4 credits of music

Sarah- takes a co-op class for art learning drawing and
       using many mediums
       does many crafts

We're ABOUT to start picture study as per the Simply Charlotte Mason Curriculum Guide

God bless!
