Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am mostly looking online since any store that would have things I am looking for (finger paint paper, etc.) would be over an hour away! Where is the best place with the most variety and best prices?? Thanks!!

We got some stuff from Discount School Supply (paintbrushes and paper). I then splurged at Dick Blick for a *nice* set of paintbrushes for special projects, a couple of art books and a few other items.

I used Dick Blick to get the items I needed for our Artistic Pursuits program. The prices were comparable to most other online stores, the shipping was lightening fast ( I was amazed) - it was packed well, and the quality is excellent.

One place I absolutely LOVE is Miller Pads and Paper. I believe it's run by a homeschooling family. They come to our hs convention every year, and it's great. And when I order online, the service is great, and my order comes quickly.

Okay, Laura, why did you pick DickBlick over MisterArt for Artistic Pursuit supplies? Just wondering, since I'm looking to make the same purchase.

I am trying to remember for certain...because there was a reason.

Welll...I just went to the AP website to look again at their suggestions. The K-3 Book 1 program was what I was buying for, and the appox. prices for that was the same at both Mister Art and DB. And after I had plugged in all the item numbers at DB, I think I might not have wanted to do it again, and just needed to be done already . I knew I was getting it cheaper than SL was offering for the bundle ($72, I think, tho I did want the custom SL bag that it came in - how silly, I know!)

I also think there might have been something with the clay? I just can't seem to remember for sure, but that was my first thought. ?

Sorry that wasn't more help.

I can say I am REALLY EXCITED to start this program. We have never really done ART, only occasional crafts. But this looks SO fun. I can't wait!

I used MisterArt, and for the same reason that Laura used Dick Blick. I compared a bit and everything was comparable with approx the same prices. I think they're practically the same.

I've placed a couple of orders since then and they're great!
