Where do you get your prints for an artist study?
I'd like to get some calendars but I don't think there will be any left now that it's the middle of May.
Is there a site/museum/etc that I could order some prints inexpensively?

Hi Jennifer,
You might be in time for some of the 18 month calendars.
I like to use books from book sales. The summer months usually have a lot of library sales. The quality isn't as good with the old books but they sure aren't expensive.
Sometimes the big book stores have art books on their bargain shelf. You might find an art type book for about 5 dollars and cut a few pictures out.
If you have a color printer, how about printing from the web gallery of art?
WGA
I've used the art program from CHC that comes with 10? prints. (I think it is 10.)

I found some great deals on prints at a used book shop. I also found a lot of art books at a used book shop very inexpensive.

You can borrow art prints from the National Gallery for an entire year's worth of study. They really provide a lot of resources for art study - here are all of their educational resources.
I buy used art books - coffee table books - for next to nothing, cut them up and laminate the prints.

Barnes and Noble very often have art print books on their bargain tables. I have Mary Cassatt, Van Gogh, and Leonardo DaVinci - bought on a buy two get one free during teacher special week. I paid less than $10 for all three, and they have these sales ALL the time!
I cut some of the books up to put the pictures in frames, but we change them out through the year. If the picture isn't in a frame under glass, it doesn't have a prayer of lasting around here!

I have ordered the prints from Ambleside Online. They sell the prints of the artist they are studying in the rotation but you can also buy the ones from past terms. They usually 4 to 6 prints in a packet. They are printed in a glossy photo paper 8.5 by 11. I have been very happy with them.
