I was looking into some replacement Lyra super ferbys at Paper Scissors Stone a few weeks ago, and there was a bulletin type thing on the site that said Lyra prices were going up and they were working to develop their own alternative to be available in March sometime (don't remember the date).

I just went back, and there don't seem to be any new pencils, and I can't find the notice I saw before (did I dream it?).

Does anyone know anything? I had been wanting to wait and order their version to try (since everyone says their crayons are even nicer than Lyra), but if something fell through, I can just order the Lyra.

If no one knows, I can call them, but I thought I would check here first just in case.

Okay, I just called, and apparently that isn't going through as quickly as they hoped (hence the notice being removed). They aren't sure when, but they hope to be carrying (in addition to the Lyra) a Checkoslovakian brand of pencil in the next year.

It sounded something like Kolinor? in case there are any connoisseurs out there who might have heard of it and know anything about it. I assume they will be cheaper than Lyra since the reason they were looking into it is all the recent price increases for Lyra.
