Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I can't believe it's been over 10 years since I've had a child in ballet class. Now our 5-yo is starting (I'm so excited!!!).

We need to get her ballet shoes but not having done this in so long I don't know which brand to pick. I remember our 16-yo using Bloch but is that still a good brand? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

www.discountdancesupply.com is where I buy most of the girls' things. Bloch is a nice brand - my older dd likes the split sole ballet from Capezio.

Once they find a shoe they like, I photocopy the end of the box where it lists the style/#/etc. Once they outgrow, I know exactly what one to buy and which size.

I always loved Capezios, too. I danced for many years as a girl - until I was 16.

I miss it. And my girls don't dance.
