Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Wasn't sure where to post this art or picture books -it's both!

We recently found this beautiful picture book with the most incredible illustrations - they are pictures made from polymer clay and photgraphed. It would be a great art project for a variety of topics. The art goes beyond a polymer figure and is really a work of art. The pictures are amazingly realistic and three dimensional. We have read the Coral Reef book and now see that there is also a jungle version we'll have to check out.

Over in the Ocean: In a Coral Reef
Over in the Jungle: A Rainforest Rhyme

These are amazing! I'm going to have to get a hold of a copy to show my little sculpey fans.

Thanks!

I'm thinking that it would be fun to do small mosaics with Sculpey, based on her illustrations in the books. Would be a great use of all those little bits, huh?

Mary, What a cool idea! Fits right in with our current ancient Roman craze.

What would you use as a base to glue them on??

Just bumping this. We were just completely captivated by Jeanette Canyon's art!
