All right, ladies, tomorrow's the day we begin! Have I mentioned I'm excited?

Kate and I drew names out of a butterfly net last night to make our little teams. We drew a first-timer's name for each second-timer's name, until the second-timers ran out. But of course we are all one big group here and will all be helping each other out.

The Mystery Class assigned to your team will be the location for which you'll calculate the photoperiod each week. You and your partner(s) can take turns sharing the data with the rest of the group.

Mystery Class #1: Mary M and Jennifer (Mari Hal-o-jen)

Class #2: Mary G and Natalia

Class #3: Shari and Donna

Class #4: Gwen and Jennifer (J.Anne)

Class #5: Michelle and Marjorie

Class #6: Jen L. and Mary (mary)

Class #7: Julia and Mary Chris

Class #8: Erica and Sarah (wahoo92)

Class #9: Carole and Courtney

Class #10: Lissa, KC, and Maria P

If I missed anyone, PLEASE let me know and we'll get you added to a group!! And anyone else who'd like to join in, we'll add you to one of these groups too. The more the merrier, right?

If you need your partner's username to PM her, you can scroll through the other thread. A note to my partners: it's better to email me because my PM mailbox keeps filling up!

Everyone should print out a graph (one copy) and data sheets (two copies) today. We'll get our first set of data tomorrow. I'll be offline all morning tomorrow (Pacific time) so don't feel like you have to wait for me! Here's the link for the Journey North update where the sunrise and sunset times will be posted. (And don't worry--we have a whole week to record this data on our graphs.)

The data sheet is for recording your sunrise & sunset times. (You could also make your own.) You'll need one copy for your local photoperiod (calculated on Mondays) and one copy for your designated Mystery Class. Of course if you have eager beaver kids who want to do the calculations for ALL the Mystery Classes, you might need more data sheets!

(Last year we kept our calculations and notes in a spiral notebook instead of using the data sheets. We stuck our graph on the wall by the breakfast table.)

ok, i've printed everything out and even recorded today's info...not sure I was supposed to but you can never be too anal...ok, you can...but I promise I'm not OCD...at least not right now.

Pacific Time! Ohh! A kick in the gut Lissa, it just reminds us east coasters how far away you are now!
