Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was planning on using All Ye Lands for my 5th,7th and 8th graders but I want to include some hands on items. Has anyone used the acitvity book to The Story of the world: Ancient History book. Could I use it along with All ye Lands or do I need the history text from Story of the world.

Or I would be open to any other great ideas !!!!

Thanks!

Jackie, could you see if your library carries the activity book so you can preview it? Our local libraries carry a number of those books -- though there is usually a waiting list to borrow them.

No, my library does not carry them. I did look at the activity briefly at Mardel's, I just didn't know how well it would go with AYL. Thanks for the idea !!!

I have the SOW 1 activity book for Ancient Times. It begins with "The Earliest People" (meaning hunter-gatherers), and addresses each of the major civilizations through the fall of Rome (42 chapters total). The first half of the book is review questions, additional reading suggestions, corresponding literature suggestions, and craft projects for each chapter. The last half of the book is the student pages, which is mostly maps to color and coloring pages.
I don't have All Ye Lands, so I cannot address how well it would mesh with that, but if you need any more details about the activity book I would be glad to help.
