Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 14 yo daughter is interested in doing some living book history reading for the rest of the year. Can anyone give me a link to a good reading list, specifically Catholic friendly? I think there was one in the back of Designing your own Classical Curriculum, but I don't have that book anymore...

RCHistory has a nice Catholic Chronological History program with literature. If you go to the link then click on each of the time periods they have a book list.

Bethlehem Books has some good books (which are probably included in the RC History site Jodie linked). Some are geared towards older kids. They are having an ebook sale tomorrow.

Over at her blog Wildflowers and Marbles, Jen Mackintosh has a wonderful resource filled with a lot of annotated links to online booklists. Scroll down just a bit on this page (under her "Build a Considered Booklist" tab), and you will find the links to many great Catholic booklists.
